Director of Housing

A full-time opportunity to support HQ + 3:11 Youth Housing's connection to the community!

Position Summary

The Director of Housing is part of the organization’s leadership team and is responsible for implementing and growing the Youth Housing Program. This person will be responsible for working collaboratively with the housing team to ensure youth are housed, supported, and connected to resources. Additionally, this role will connect with community resources, oversee crisis responses, and manage programmatic reporting and outcomes.


Operations, HR & Administration

  1. Track youth leases, documentation, violations and rents
  2. Use HMIS for community tracking and coordination
  3. Coordinate with other Directors and leadership team

 Advancement/Fund Development/Fundraising

  1. Identify, pursue, and oversee grants directly related to growing housing options
  2. Ability to speak publicly about the housing program(s)

Youth Engagement/Program Services

  1. Manage housing program(s), including a staff and volunteer team of 10+
  2. Provide crisis support and intervention
  3. Coordinate with Director of Drop-In to ensure services are aligned
  4. Grow and manage referral and intake process into housing
  5. Coordinate with community resources
  6. Serve as a liaison between the Continuum of Care and the organization
  7. Future program implementation
  8. Main point of contact and administrator for case management system, Apricot


General Requirements

  1. MSW with full or limited license, or similarly licensed degree
  2. Proven history of positive supervisory experience
  3. Ability to work some non-traditional hours, including on-call shifts
  4. Ability to pass all required background checks
  5. Comply with the agency's written employment policies


  1. Lived experience and/or an understanding of youth homelessness, trauma and/or mental health/substance use concerns and knowledge of de-escalation techniques
  2. Experience managing federal grants
  3. Deep understanding of the community's social service landscape
  4. Bilingual: Spanish/English, ASL
  5. Experience with HMIS administration

Additional Requirements

  1. Availability for professional development activities and community events outside of regular work hours
  2. Support other initiative, strategies and duties as assigned by leadership
