About HQ

HQ is a drop-in center in Grand Rapids, Michigan for youth between the ages of 14 and 24 who are experiencing unsafe or unstable housing. We believe that everyone should be celebrated for who they are, as they are. At HQ, basic resources are available to youth with no strings attached. We rely on community partners and volunteers to provide critical resources that help break the cycle of homelessness in our community.

For Young People

If you don’t have a safe place you call home, you are not alone. No matter what your situation is, HQ is here for you. If you need a warm shower, a hot meal, or help with school, your job, or anything in between, the caring staff at HQ will support you.

Youth Drop-In Hours

Younger Drop-In (14-19 years of age)

Monday:  2:30pm-4:30pm
Tuesday + Thursday:  4:00pm-6:00pm

Older Drop-In (20-24 yrs of age)

Monday evenings: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Tuesday + Thursday: 12:30pm-3:30pm

Individual Drop-In (14-24 years of age)

Wednesday + Friday: 12:00pm-5:00pm by appointment

Donate To HQ

Financial support from people like you allows HQ to make basic resources and meaningful relationships available to youth who would otherwise slip through the cracks. Your donation goes directly to Grand Rapids youth in need.

Volunteers make HQ possible. Give your time, build relationships, and support our staff as we break the cycle of homelessness together. From working drop-in to sorting donations and folding laundry, if you’re passionate about it, there’s a place for you at HQ.

This morning we celebrated the kick-off of the new Comprehensive Health Initiative. Our community partners, core funders, and local supporters came together to learn more about how this collaborative initiative will impact health outcomes for youth experiencing crisis in West Michigan.

Thank you to Corridor Coffee for the delicious beverages and Meijer for the funds to get food!
